Abstract
Summary
The study aims at uncovering the relationship between family violence and
scholastic achievement
The problem of the study was as follows: - Is there a relationship between
family violence and academic achievement?
And included a number of sub-questions
-Is there a relationship between verbal violence and academic achievement?
-Is there a relationship between symbolic violence and academic achievement?
To answer these questions, the main hypothesis was:
-There is a relationship between family violence within the family and
academic achievement
The following sub-assumptions are included below
-There is a relationship between verbal violence within the family and academic
achievement
-There is a relationship between symbolic violence within the family and
academic achievement
The study is based on a number of objectives
-Knowledge of the relationship between family violence and academic
achievement
-Knowledge of the relationship between verbal violence and academic
achievement
-Knowledge of the relationship between symbolic violence and academic
achievement
One of the most important reasons for selecting the subject of the study
-My strong desire to study this subject
-Detecting the relationship of family violence with academic achievement
This study included three theoretical chapters and two chapters of the applied
framework
In this study, the descriptive approach to this study was adopted
The study was conducted on a sample of 100 students in the third year of
secondary school.
In this study, I found the following results
-There is no relationship between family violence and school achievement
-There is no relationship between verbal violence within the family and
academic achievement
-There is no relationship between symbolic violence within the family and
academic achievement
