Item A simple equation for estimating hourly water consumption in CSP plants(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02) T.E. Boukelia; A. Ghellab; A. Laouafi; A. BourouiAbstract— Unlike conventional thermal power plants which are generally erected in the coastal regions near water bodies, seas and oceans, where water resource availability is not a critical factor, concentrating solar power (CSP) plants are usually installed in high sunny zones which generally characterized by semi-arid and arid climates, where water resources are hard to find and/or to employ. On the other side, the hourly simulations of water consumption in CSP plants are very complex and require many calculations, data analysis and time consuming. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to develop a simple equation to estimate the hourly water consumption of a solar tower plant based on its generated power, and the existing power plant Gemasolar has been chosen to establish the methodology. The obtained results of the statistical analysis show that the cubic model based on the generated power, can be used as a simple and general model to predict hourly water consumption in a large scale solar tower power plant.Item Fractional Second Order Sliding Mode Controller for The Control of Wind Generator Based on a DFIG(University of Eloued, 2019-02-04) F.Z TRIA; K Srairi; MT BenchouiaIn order to reduce the chattering phenomena in the conventional sliding mode controller, which appears mostly in the rotor currents of doubly fed indication generator (DFIG), a new Fractional Second Order Sliding Mode Controller is proposed. In this controller, the sliding surfaces are chosen so that they will be compatible with the errors in the rotor currents. SELLAMI,; Ridha. CHERRAYE,; Zine Elabidine BENARIMA,Potable water is essential to life. The supply of fresh water is becoming an increasingly important issue in many areas of the world especially. In remote and arid areas in Algeria. Among the non-conventional methods to desalinate brackish water or seawater, is solar distillation. The present study aims to improve the solar still performance, and to increase its yield. In this paper a new kind of technology, Nano particles( ZnO) different weight (10, 20, 30 and 40g) were added to the basin solar still and optimal depths water 1cm .to augmentation heat transfer and the productivity. The distillation performance experimentation has been conducted at the in Ouargla University, The conventional still yields 288 ml/m2and the test still with added 40 g Zinc Oxide produces 325 ml/m2 in a day. The still with Zinc Oxide (ZnO) has 13.02 % higher production compared with conventional still.Item A Hydraulic Comparison between Center Pivot Irrigation Traditional and Modern Type ANABIB(University of Eloued, 2019-02-24) Hadji Mohammed Salah; Guerrah Ayoub; Mansouri KhaledThe objective of this article is to realize a hydraulic comparison between the traditional and modern irrigation pivot system (Type ANABIB). This comparison is based on evolution of hydraulic parameters like pressure, flow and length between the sprinklers (nozzles) to obtain a homogeneous distribution of water over the entire irrigated area. Center Pivot irrigation has an important agricultural component in Algeria, especially in the South such (El Oued, Ouargla, Biskra, Meniaa, Adrar, etc.). However, this irrigation technique is often used by farmers, who don’t have the scientific expertise to develop and improve the performance of their equipment, taking into account the weather conditions of desert areas, as well as the sizing of the pumping system. Farmers in Souf deal with the traditional pivot system and don’t accept the modern type ANABIB with suitable normalization factor because its high cost. Therefore, the necessity to improve hydraulic performance of the traditional system until it has a high normalization factor and good uniformity of irrigation. However in well-designed devices we can get a good hydraulic efficiency the order of 85%. The results of the work observed for the hydraulic parameters of traditional system commonly used by farmers give us 59,58 and 70,76% of Cuh that values gives us the possibility to improve its uniformity of irrigation by the predominant effect of the sprinkler distance to get an acceptable values of normalization factor (over than 85%), on the other hand ANABIB system gives 95,98 and 97,28% of Cuh that considers as a perfect values . It is intended that this article be served as a starting point from which improved uniformity may be developed in the futureItem Improving Adiabatic Film-cooling Effectiveness using a chevron shape ramp(Universty of El-oued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Grine Mustapha1; , Ben Ali kouchih fatima; Boualem khadidja; Fekire Halima; Azzi AbbèsIn this study two geometrical configurations are considered for purpose comparison, which are the base line case, and the case with an upstream chevron with rounded edge. The ensemble-averaged Navier Stokes equations closed by the k-ε RNG turbulence model and standard wall function are used in frame of the finite volume method, computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) code represented by the commercial programmers ANSYS CFX 14.0. The work consists of a numerical computation study of a film cooling on a flat plate. The goal is to verify the effectiveness of the present code by applying the same boundary conditions on the same geometry. Furthermore, another dimension of the physical domain was displayed by adding the concept of upstream chevron fence. Three blowing ratios are considered (0.50, 1.00, and 1.50) and length-to-diameter ratios 1.75. Results are shown in form of centerline adiabatic film cooling effectiveness .The most important element in this study is the film cooling effectiveness. L’intégration de la CFAO dans un processus de fabrication se traduit par la prise en compte du savoir-faire de fabrication dés la phase de conception. La fabrication des formes complexes en Cnc impose une évolution vers une très haute technicité des méthodes de la FAO et des moyens de mise en oeuvre de l’opération d’usinage. Dans ce contexte on propose une méthodologie pour le choix du processus le plus adéquat pour l’usinage d’une AUBE dans le but de réduire le coût d’usinage et d’améliorer la qualité de surface de finition. D’abord on commence par la description du module de conception de pièce (Aube sous SolidWorks. Ensuite, On propose les simulations nécessaires pour déterminer la trajectoire optimale d’usinage. Enfin nous terminons cette étude par la recherche des meilleures conditions de la qualité de surface finie.Item Effects of temperature and polarization current on a laser signal quality in fiber optics communication systems(Universty of El-oued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Bendehiba. Dahmane.; Brahim.Lejdel.this paper concerns the analysis and evaluation of the effects of polarization current and temperature of an optical fiber laser based on audio communication systems. For that purpose, we will study the effects of polarization current and temperature on the two main parameters of the communication chain; the transmitter (vertical cavity surface emitting laser) and the receiver (at the end of optical communication chain). The frequencies range considered are between 20Hz and 20 kHz, which correspond to the audible field. The quality of the restored signal depends on the different harmonics that it contains. We need to perform spectrum measurement quality by monitoring and measuring two factors TDH and SNR for the different experiments. The experimental results show that a high-quality audio laser signal can be obtained in fiber optics communication systems employing a vertical cavity surface emitting laser at a temperature of 10 °C and a current of 5 mA without the need for optimized optics.Item DFVELOPMENT OF NEW LOW COST MATERIALS FOR ENVIRENEMENT TRAITEMENT(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Derafa Garmia; H.ZAGHOUANE-BOUDIAFWater is a basic unit for the continuation of the life. But today it is seen that the ground and water pollution, accidentally or voluntarily. Various industries, such as textile, are widely ejected a large volume of colored aqueous effluents. Their presence in water has more or less serious incidences to aquatic life and also it severe damages to the human bodies. Various technologies have been developed for decontamination Adsorption process has been proven as one of the best wastewater treatment technologies around the world. Research is centered on the use of new low cost materials, available locally, biodegradable, manufactured from natural sources. Because of their very significant structure, their great specific surface and their great capacity of adsorption, the adsorbents from clays were largely used to treat various effluents. In the present study, detailed experiments are carried out to remove brilliant green and methylene blue by adsorption technique using bentonite as an adsorbent. Based on the results obtained from the study, it appears that the acid activated clays constitute a good adsorbent for removing cationic dye.Item Synthesis of diatomite Silica Doped Iron Nanoparticle Innovative Material Composite and their Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity Driven by UV Light(University of Eloued, 2019-02-24) REZIG Walid; HADJEL MohammedDiatomite silica doped iron nanoparticle thermally calcination at 600 °C “ DMF3X6 ” composite as catalyst for heterogeneous photocatalysis of vat green 03 indanthren and characterized in this study.The Diatomite silica doped iron nanoparticle thermally calcination at 600 °C called “ DMF3X6 ” was made through surface modification treatment including NaOH deposition on raw diatomite with thermally calcination .In NaOH treatment, surface of Diatomite silica doped iron nanoparticle thermally calcination at 600 °C “ DMF3X6 ” was partially dissolved in NaOH with thermally calcination at 600 °C by means of x-ray fluorescence ( XRF ), x-ray diffraction ( XRD ), attenuated reflection-Fourier transform infrared ( ATR-FTIR ), scanning electron microscopy ( SEM ), energy dispersive x-ray ( EDX ) ,thermogravimetric analysis ( TGA ) , differential scanning calorimetry (DSC ) and UV–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy ( DRS ) .The surface area of Diatomite silica doped iron nanoparticle thermally calcination at 600 °C “ DMF3X6 ” is 218.2 m2/g .The bad gap of DMF3X6 was Eg = 1.15 eV by UV-visible DRS technique .The surface modification also increased the point of zero charge (pHPZC ) values to 6 for Diatomite silica doped iron nanoparticle thermally calcination at 600 °C “ DMF3X6 ” .The vat green 03 indanthren textile dye degradation has pH dependency, the better result is at pH =10 with colour remove about 92 %.The photodecolourisation rate follows pseudo-first order kinetic with to respect to the dye concentration.Item The Ohmic and activation over-potential in Anode- Supported Solid Oxide Fuel Cells(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Horr Sabrina; Hocine MohceneA multi-dimensional model has been established to investigate the performance of anode-supported SOFC fuel cell with two different configuration, :i) the Anode Supported Planar Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (ASP_SOFC) with channel gas surface 1mm2 and ii) ASP_SOFC with channel gas surface 0.25mm2. The numerical simulation was realized with a SOFC fuel cell model based on the ANSYS FLUENT computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software. The simulation results were illustrated polarization curves including J–V,J–P, Ohmic and activation over-potential curves. It was found that the increase in channel surface has more significant influences on the cell performance. The model is validated using one of the available numerical results from previous researches the comparison between the numerical model and the reported results shows very good agreement.Item Reduction of the Chattering Phenomenon By Using Softened Several Ramps Mode Control of an Induction Machine(Universty of El-oued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Z. BAKINIThe principal objective of this paper consists in introducing the sliding mode control concepts in the speed’s regulations control scheme of the induction machine powered by static converters. The control by sliding mode is an interesting technique for solving the problem of robustness of the adjustment with respect to the variation of the load. So, the control law in this technic is expressed mainly from the quantity to be regulated and the number of derivatives. In practical applications, the main disadvantage associated with the command is the phenomenon of chattering. In order to minimize the amplitude of oscillations, we propose a technique of variable structure control which is softened several ramps control. In this context, firstly, we will be introducing some general notions on nonlinear systems as well as the design of sliding mode control. Secondly, they will try to establish a methodology for designing this control (conventional control and softened several ramps control). Each stage of such study is illustrated and validated by simulation results. Finally, we will be conducting robustness testing to evaluate our order.Item Incorporating New Technologies in Teaching Paragraph Writing for Medical Doctors(University of Eloued, 2019-02-24) Abdelouahab BoumazaIn this technology driven age, language teachers like in many other fields are more or less incorporating new technologies in their classrooms. A quick review of the wellknown methods of language teaching shows a fertile land to make good use of new technologies in developing and improving learners’ main skills. In a course designed to teach English for doctors, the classroom is rarely sufficient to achieve all the course objectives. This is partly due to the problem of time inconvenience usually associated with this kind of learners. Recourse to new technologies here could be a good remedy to overcome this limitation. Within a theme based approach new technologies’ tools and techniques are used to improve learner’s’ writing skills. To do this we use a weighted DPMO and Six Sigma level approaches. Firstly the weighted DPMO was used to calculate the proportion of quality defects. Secondly, Sigma level was introduced to evaluate the competitiveness of the company. The proposed methodology is applied in a real case study, the obtained results are discussed.Item An Analysis study of consumer attitudes towards alternative transport fuels in Algeria(جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Mohammed BOUGUELAAThis paper tends to highlight some Demand-side solutions in transportation to reach a secure and sustainable energy future. To achieve the purpose of the study, we started with a literature review about consumer behavior and alternative fuels in used in Algeria then we presented the results of a survey providing insight into consumer attitudes and behaviours associated with alternative transport fuels un Algeria. The key findings are: * Most of consumers do care about the type of transport fuel they use, when it comes to the economical aspect. * Most of respondents say they are not willing to shift for alternative transport fuels with lifetime greenhouse gas though their benefits over fossil fuels. * Consumers are generally aware of alternative transport fuels, but they lack the practical understanding required to enable them to modify their behaviours and decisions concerning the environmental dimension. In Algeria is used as a source of alternative electric power connected to the electricity grid. Because of its many benefits, this photovoltaic energy source can be a good replacement or addition to conventional sources of supply of electricity. In this paper, a model of a photovoltaic generator is proposed, where generator uses directly the voltage and current of the photovoltaic panel to search for the operating point corresponding to the maximum power of system photovoltaic studied to proposed control strategy adopted for this system. The objective of this work is to model the photovoltaic system in a way intelligible and understandable to see the influence of the metrological conditions such as illuminance and temperature and the operating parameters internal to photovoltaic system. This allows the development of an on board system in order to control the point of maximum power despite the variation of the temperature, irradiation and the electrical characteristics of the load.Item Influence of electrolyte temperature on corrosion Behavior of carbon steel pipe API 5L X52 and X70 .(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Majda MOKHTARI; Aicha ZIOUCHE; Selma ATTABI; Hicham ELMSELLEMIn this study, electrochemical experiments were conducted to select the optimal electrolyte temperature to have excellent corrosion resistance in 0,1M hydrochloric acid using API X52 and X70 carbon steels. The temperature elevation effect was examined in the temperature range from 293- 323 K. The experiments showed that the corrosion current density was significantly lower when temperature increases and the aggressive solution effect is more important on X52 steel than X70 steel.Item BIOCARBURANTS ET CHANGEMENT CLIMATIQUE BIOFUELS AND CLIMATE CHANGE(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) KRIM HassanDepuis le début des années 2000. Les politiques publiques en faveur des biocarburants, se sont considérablement renforcées et élargies à un grand nombre de pays, l’un des objectifs principaux est La lutte contre le changement climatique grâce à la baisse des émissions de gaz à effet de serre(GES). Les biocarburants participent à cet objectif, puisqu’ils constituent une des alternatives possibles aux carburants fossiles (ADEME 2010). Cependant, ils sont à la croisée de plusieurs enjeux significatifs : économiques, sociaux, environnementaux, et climatiques. Dans ce contexte, il est apparu nécessaire d’évoquer les impacts que peut présenter le développement incontrôlé des biocarburants qui sont accusés de ne pas présenter les bilans avantageux qu’on leur avait prêtés dans un premier temps en termes de réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre.Item دور الارغنوميا في التنمية المستدامة للقطاع الفلاحي في الوادي(University of Eloued, 2019-02-24) مناوي زاكي; اسعادي فارستعد الارغنوميا كمجال علمي يهدف إلى تحسين ظروف العمل ومواءمتها مع القدرات الجسمية والذهنية للعامل والحفاظ على صحته وأمنه وبما يضمن فعاليته في الإنتاج. وبالرغم من أن الأرغنوميا نشأت في البلدان المتقدمة صناعيا وتكنولوجيا فهذا لا يعني عدم الاستفادة منها في الدول النامية والسائرة في طريق النمو. وتسعى الدول النامية إلى تحقيق التنمية الشاملة في جميع قطاعاتها ومجالاتها منذ حصولها على استقلالها السياسي. والتنمية المستدامة هو مصطلح اقتصادي اجتماعي أممي، رسمت به هيئة الأمم المتحدة خارطة للتنمية البيئية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية على مستوى العالم، هدفها الأول هو تحسين ظروف المعيشية لكل فرد في المجتمع، وتطوير وسائل الإنتاج وأساليبه، وإدارتها بطرق لا تؤدي إلى استنزاف موارد كوكب الأرض الطبيعية، حتى لا نحمل الكوكب فوق طاقته، ولا نحرم الأجيال القادمة من هذه الموارد، )تلبية احتياجات الجيل الحالي دون إهدار حقوق الأجيال القادمة(، ودون الإفراط في استخدام الموارد الطبيعية المتبقية على كوكبنا. ويعد القطاع الفلاحي من القطاعات ذات البعد الاقتصادي في الدخل القومي الوطني والتي تساهم بشكل هام في تطوير البلدان والبعث بعجلة الاقتصاد. غير أن هذا القطاع يسجل أرقاما كبيرة من الحوادث والاصابات المهنية، حيث سجل مكتب العمل الدولي حوالي 17ألف إصابة، منها %52إصابات عظمية عضلية. ويتم التعرض في هذه الورقة الى دور الأرغنوميا في التنمية المستدامة وسبل تطبيقها في المجال الفلاحيItem A Survey on modulation approaches for Z-source(Universty of El-oued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Ali TETA; Mohamed Mounir REZAOUI; Abdellah KOUZOU; Aicha DJALABThis paper discusses and compares several control strategies for the Z-source inverter, contrary to the traditional inverters the impedance network in the ZSI provides one extra switching state called shoot-through state which ensures the unique buck-boost voltage feature. This study aims to analyze and compare four control methods namely, SBC simple boost control, MBC maximum boost control, MCBC maximum constant boost control and maximum constant boost control with third harmonic injection.
