Abstract

Abstract: Our study aims at identifying the problems of urban development in the desert city. The main question was formulated as follows: What are the problems facing the urban development process in the desert city? The hypotheses were formulated as follows: -Housing and its uses characteristics in urban development in the desert city -The nature of the neighborhood and neighborhood relations in the desert city -Transportation services provided and available in the desert city -Adoption of families on the economic side of living in the desert city - Attitudes and opinions of the inhabitants of the desert city on the nature of the house and the problems caused by the social aspect. In this study, we relied on the analytical descriptive approach to suit the nature of the subject in order to validate the hypotheses. After we prepared a research form and distributed it to the residents of the neighborhood, we collected it and conducted several research interviews with a number of residents. Faced by urban development in the desert city. After analyzing the form, the validity of the hypotheses was verified and we reached several conclusions. All this did not prevent us from presenting a set of recommendations and suggestions which are as follows: 1- The preparation of urban area commensurate Amran is building materials with the desert nature by introducing some innovations that correspond to the culture of the city where the palaces represent the nucleus of the desert city and its inhabitants are linked to their customs and traditions. 2- Involve the individual and integrate it in the development of development plans, through the theme and simulated reality of the pension and interest in the development of social and cultural aspects, although changed is not very encouraging, and should be spreading awareness and interest in the Sahrawi people in the embodiment of any developmental work in these communities. 3- If the architecture has achieved its objectives in the northern regions, this does not mean that it will achieve this in the south, and the engineers should not transfer the urban character of the region.ه 4- Provide the necessary services and equipment because they are conducive to the stability of social life of the individual. 5- Create associations and institutions that have a role in the awareness and participation of an individual to gain confidence in the planned and even accept the renewal and thus achieve its objectives. 6 - Paying attention to the youth component in development projects by integrating it into the general society, by providing all that makes these emerging generations reflect the new culture that is flexible to interact with what is happening in society.
