Abstract

The place is one of the most important elements that make up the artistic and fictional text in particular, and for this we chose our research marked by the significance of the place in the novel Athar al-Ghazala by HawaHanakah, and therefore we decided to divide this research according to the requirements of the study into a first chapter titled with theoretical concepts about the place and its function, in which general concepts about the place and its aesthetics were addressed.. As for the second chapter, an applied chapter, it came under the title of an applied study of the aesthetics of the place in the novel Athar Al-Ghazala, in which we analyzed the closed and open places, as well as the relationship of the place with each of the time, the characters, and the event. In the end, we came to a number of results, including that the place has taken a new dimension in the works of contemporary fiction, as well as the interaction of the place in the novel with the elements of the narrative structure, forming the coherence and harmony of the novel, in which the definition of the novelist is attached with a group of her works.
