Abstract
The purpose of this study is to know the role of the book of civic
education for the fourth year of primary education in the achievement of
the social values of the student, and based on the following main
question: The role of the book of civic education for the fourth year
primary in the social values of the student?
The question is divided into sub-questions, as follows:
-What is the role of the book of civic education for the fourth year
primary in providing the moral values of the student?
-What is the role of the book of civic education for the fourth year
primary in the achievement of the national values of the student?
-What is the role of the book of civic education for the fourth year
primary in providing the aesthetic values of the student?
In order to answer these questions, the researcher followed the
analytical descriptive method and extracted (18) value after presenting
the content of the study sample, based on text and image as a unit for
analysis of the book of civic education for the fourth year primary. It
divided it into three dimensions: (after the moral values - after the
national values - after the aesthetic values.)
When the questionnaire was built to identify the extent to which these
values are included in the sample of the study after presenting them to a
group of arbitrators to ascertain their validity and relevance to the
purpose for which they were developed, the statistical method was used
as follows:
-Frequency and percentage ratios to transfer qualitative results
obtained to quantitative results.
The study reached a number of results, which were as follows:
-The curriculum of civic education for the fourth year primary to
develop the values of citizenship among students, as evidenced by the
contents of the most national values present in the study axes aimed at
preparing the good citizen.
-The book of civic education for the fourth year did not give primary
importance to aesthetic values.
