Abstract

The study aimed to reveal how the students of the University of Martyr Hama Lakhdar manage their privacy on the Facebook site, relying on the descriptive approach and on a sample of non-probability samples, which is the intentional sample, and on the interview tool to collect data from the 30 members of the research community, and among the most important results that we reached To her, many university students answered that their personal information via Facebook is not safe because the site is vulnerable to violation, theft, and personal impersonation, in addition to being monitored. While the remaining percentage answered that they do not use them because they do not like to publish or that they provide their own content that does not need to be hidden. It was found that all students have the ability to make right decisions regarding their privacy via Facebook, such as determining who can see their posts, hide their friends, or lock the account, etc. This is evidence of the ability of students to control their information and the extent to which it is managed and dealt with.
