Abstract

In this research, we studied the joint integration between the exchange rate and the consumer price index and some other variables during the period 1990-2021, relying on the (NARDL) methodology, which separates the effect of positive, as it appeared through the results of the study that there is a joint integration between the consumer price index and the variables affecting it, and the effect of positive changes is not different from the effect of negative changes in the exchange rate variable, and it was found that the exchange rate directly affects the consumer price index in the long and short term, While the gross domestic product does not affect it, and there is a non-linear relationship between (CPI) and the monetary mass and imports, as well as negative and positive changes in exports have a clear impact on prices.
