Abstract
Despite Britain multiculturalism, both Islam and Britain, for a long time, were inextricably entwined with racial tension. Muslims Britishness has therefore been the focus of public debate. The present study aims to scrutinize the nature of relationships between Britain and Muslim community closely. Also, it is an attempt to shed light on the major impediments to social cohesion. A descriptive-analytic method was adopted to collect data. Results ,then, show that relations between two communities had become strained, yet they have definitely become more tranquil recently. Hence, we are seeing recently, and for the first time ever, a process of quiet social convergence between Muslim and non-Muslim communities. It did suggest that the common fallacy, that Islam must inevitably stand in opposition to western society, seems no longer relevant.
