سيمائية الشخصية في رواية "بغداد وقد انتصف الليل فيها" لحياة الرايس

Abstract

تُعدّ الرواية من أبرز الأجناس الأدبية التي تمكّنت من احتواء التجربة الإنسانية بكل تعقيداتها، إذ تمنح لكل عنصر من عناصرها بعدًا دلاليًا يعكس تحوّلات الذات والمجتمع. وتندرج رواية "بغداد وقد انتصف الليل فيها" لحياة الرايس ضمن هذا الإطار، حيث شكّلت الشخصيات فيها علامات دالّة على قضايا الاغتراب والهوية والانتماء. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل الشخصية في الرواية من منظور سيميائي، من خلال الوقوف على تمثلاتها السطحية والعميقة، ورصد ما تحمله من أبعاد نفسية وثقافية. وقد ركّزنا على الشخصية المحورية (الراوية/الطالبة التونسية) بوصفها صورة للذات المغتربة، إلى جانب شخصيات مثل "الأستاذ صالح مدني"، و"أمي بية"، و"صديقتها صباح"، لما لها من دلالات رمزية تعبّر عن المعرفة، والاحتواء، والتضامن. وتبيّن من خلال التحليل أنّ الشخصية في هذا النص تتجاوز البُعد الوظيفي إلى أن تُصبح بنية دلالية تعبّر عن أزمة الذات في مواجهة التحوّلات الاجتماعية والسياسية..

The novel is considered one of the most significant literary genres in its capacity to embody the complexities of human experience, as it grants each narrative element a semantic depth that reflects transformations of both self and society. Within this framework, Baghdad wa qad intasafa al-laylu fiha by Hayat Al-Raies stands out, as its characters function as meaningful signs that engage with themes of identity and belonging. This study aims to analyze the character from a semiotic perspective, focusing on both its surface and deep structures, and examining its psychological and cultural dimensions. Special attention is given to the main character (the narrator/Tunisian student) as a representation of the displaced self, alongside key figures such as Professor Saleh Madani, Umm Biyya, and her friend Sabah, who symbolize knowledge, care, and solidarity. The analysis reveals that the character in this narrative goes beyond its functional role to become a semantic structure that expresses the crisis of self in the face of social and political transformations
