Abstract

Study Summary: This study aimed to know the role played by the Disciplinary Boards in the social control within the campus of the university. This study was done on a sample of students who passed the Disciplinary Boards at the University of Shaheed Hama Lakhdar in Eloued For that, the following main question was formulated *Do the Disciplinary Boards have a role in social control on campus Under this main question are the following sub-questions *Is the student's ignorance of the Disciplinary Boards and associated penalties lead him to do offenses on campus Are the penalties included in the chamber Law controlling the behavior of students on campus The present study is part of analytical descriptive studies, where we relied on the analytical descriptive approach. In order to collect data from the field, we used the questionnaire tool according to the nature of the topic. The questionnaire included 19 questions divided into three chapters: The field study was conducted by interviewing (17) individual students who passed the chamber through the reliance on the intended sample. This was at the University of the Echahid Hamma Lakhdar in Alwadi. After analyzing the data, the following results were obtained *The student's ignorance of the disciplinary boards and associated penalties leading to the commission of irregularities on campus *The penalties included in the Disciplinary Boards Act govern the student on campus بBased on the results obtained, we have been assured that there is an important role for the disciplinary boards and the associated penalties in the social control process on campus, but the university officials concerned with the students affairs should intensify the meetings with the students, explain the laws of the disciplinary boards and introduce students to their rights and duties. And to inform them of their future policies and plans. Review some of the laws of the university disciplinary boards and add a reward system to promote good and desirable behavior among students.
