Literary journalism, as a genre has been incorporated in the field of literature. It has its impact on postmodernism writings as well. On the one hand, this dissertation attempts investigate the extent to which this genre has flourished and spread over the world. On the other hand, it seeks to examine the existence of the characteristics of literary journalism in the novelIn Cold Blood by Truman Capote. In order to conduct this analysis, we have formulated two hypotheses. The first one attempts to investigate the degree to which this genre has contributed to the development of the literary fields around the world. The second one seeks to examine the extent of literary journalism elements in the novelIn Cold Blood. In order to test the credibility of these hypotheses, we selected the required corpora from the novel, using the techniques of the historical and descriptive-analytical methods. The findings of the study demonstrated the existence of the characteristics of the genre in the plot, the characters, the themes, the style of writing, the settings, the symbols, as well as the literary devices that have been used. This proves that literary journalism has impacted the development of the literary movements (Feminism and Postmodernism) whether in America, or in other countries.en_US
