This research work was carried out to study the biological activity of date palm pollen grains (Phoenix dactylifera). It was conducted in two parts, in vitro and in vivo. The study dealt with the phytochemical and assessment of the nutritional and phenols value and antioxidant efficacy of palm pollen. The results showed that the yield of methanolic extract was estimated at 24.35%. The results of the nutritional value assessment showed that the protein ratio was estimated at 511.666 mg / g, followed by the percentage of fats with mg / g289.166, and carbohydrates were estimated at 67.878mg / g. The total phenols in methanolic extract were 74.472 μg EAG/mg and aqueous extract were 38.815 μg EAG/mg, Flavonoids content in methanolic extract was 52.117 μg EQu/mg and in the aqueous extract was 26.674 μg EQu/mg. the tannins hydrolysable and tannins condensed in the methanolate extract were 316.655 μgEAT/mg and 0.0193 μgEAT/mg. Palm pollen showed a good antioxidant activity in the aqueous extract with an IC50= 62.257µg / ml, and high antioxidant activity in methanolic extract with an IC50= 57.05 µg / ml. This study also dealt with the goal of knowing the effect of palm pollen grains on the productive traits and sexual hormones on the female quail bird, for this purpose 18 Japanese quail females were used, divided into three groups, at a rate of 6 females per group, the control group got water and food on a daily basis throughout the period The 30-day trial, group (1) was treated with palm pollen at a concentration of 200 mg / kg, and group (2) was treated with palm pollen at a concentration of 300 mg / kg of female quail weight. The results obtained showed an increase in the live body weight of the females, an increase in the productive characteristics in terms of the average egg weight, the percentage of production H.D%, the number of cumulative eggs and the mass of eggs produced during the experiment for the two groups treated with palm pollen, where group (2) achieved the highest percentages. The same result was for the FSH hormone, as it was an increase in its level in the blood compared with the control group, while the LH hormone increased in group (1) only.en_US
