يحاول هذا المقال التطرق إلى مفهوم الدراسات السابقة في البحث العلمي وأهمية هذه الدراسات في توجيه مسار البحث إلى الوجهة المطلوبة، كما يسلط الضوء على الاستراتيجيات التي تمكن الباحث من الحصول على الدراسات السابقة التي تؤطر بحثه، ويقدم هذا المقال جملة من التوجيهات المنهجية التي من شأنها مساعدة الباحث في توفير التراث النظري لموضوعه في حال انعدامه أو ندرته.
