dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this study is to investigate the nature of relationship between imported inflation and local investment in the Libyan economy during the period 1970-2021. ARDL estimates indicated a positive relationship between oneyear lagged value of imported inflation and local investment in the short run. However, in the long run the study findings showed that imported inflation is an obstacle of economic growth. In other words, it indicated a long run negative relationship between imported inflation and local investment
