The study was titled: "The relationship of using Facebook to the religious
values of university students"
The study relied on the main question: How much does Facebook affect
religious values and their dimensions to university students? This question is
divided into the following sub-questions: Are there differences between the
students' view of the impact of Facebook on religious values and their
dimensions?
Are there differences between the views of students of different levels in
the impact of Facebook use on religious values and dimensions?
Are there differences between the views of students according to the degree of
use of Facebook in influencing religious values and dimensions?
The main objective of this study is to know the impact of the new media,
especially the social networks (Facebook) on the values of the value of
students, as well as work to develop a mechanism to promote the religious
values that contribute to the publication of this site.
It is also clear to us that there are reasons that led us to choose our
subject: to know the type of relationship between Facebook and religious
values in return that the world in general and the Arab community in particular
live the post-Facebook world and its effects in many of its locomotives.
We also do not forget that the topic is of no less importance than others:
that the study qualifies us to the process of guidance and guidance towards
building a healthy society that has not lost its cultural heritage and social, moral
and religious values as a result of this communication wave that causes the7
collapse or rise of society. The site publishes, circulates and occupies the
leadership and priority in dealing with social media.
In this study, we tried to reveal this relationship by answering the
questions of the study and verifying their validity by conducting a field study.
We chose a representative sample of the original society represented by
university students who study in the Faculty of Humanities and Social
Sciences. Our goal is to analyze the phenomenon of using Facebook and its
impact on the religious values of students. We applied the field study to a
sample of 141 students after which we collected the data and emptied and
analyzed in order to reach the following results:
• There is a positive impact on the use of Facebook by a large proportion of
sex and educational level as well as the degree of use, and thus achieve the
general question.
• Statistical analysis of the results of the first question showed that there are
statistically significant differences in the impact of Facebook on religious values
in all their gender dimensions.
• The analysis also showed for the results of the second question that there
are no significant differences in the impact of Facebook on religious values in
all dimensions in terms of educational level.
• The analysis for the third question also shows that there are no statistically
significant differences in the impact of Facebook on religious values in all their
dimensions in terms of degree of use.
