Abstract

The US economy is a mixed economy characterized by the existence of public and private enterprises. This research delves in the features of these sectors and discusses the complicated relation between them as well as diving into the characteristics, the advantages and the disadvantages of both sectors with giving historical events that shaped the economical system. The main aim of this research is to shed light on the specifics of the US mixed economy and the consequences of the collaborative sectors with their impact on the stability of the economy. Methodologically, this research employs the quantitative and the qualitative approaches with analyses. In addition, a mixture of historical data, economic indicators were used to reinforce the given information. The results of this research clarify the roles of the private and the public businesses in the US. For instance, the private sector achieved by the need of innovation and competition. Public sector is essential service for maintaining stability during the economic downturn. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of the mixed economy in the United States. It gives a clear image of how and what staple economy works and grows.
