Abstract

The aim of the study is to find out the impact of modern technology on Sufi orders (Turuk), We focus our study case on Tidjaniya order (TariqahTidjaniyah), due to its prevalence worldwide, that by knowing the impact on the spiritual side as a result of the modern globalization, whether it brought something new to tariqah and helped it spread out and unify followers (Murid) or it affected it negatively. Along the way of our research, we have used some analysis techniques such as observation, interview and questionnaires according to a specific curriculum. We mention the most important results: El-MuridTidjani does not use modern means of communication with his sheikh because he is always looking to enrich the spiritual side through direct communication with him. The Tidjani Path (TariqahTidjaniyah) makes use of modern technology in its dailylife activities whether in communication between members or in mediacampaigns, documentation and archiving. Trying to uplift andbuild bettermoral , social and cultural conditions of the Murid through simplifying the Tidjani Sufi books to make him not only rely on attending Islamic gathering (Majalis) to receive knowledge . Through evaluating members of Tariqahfor their use of modern technology, we obtained some results mentioned below: Ease of communication between followers of Tariqahand strengthen ties between them no matter how far is the distance. Invent lies and hearsay againstTariqah that did not occur with lack of knowledge of the publication source.
