dc.description.abstractThis thesis investigates the development of a nutritional supplement aimed at treating liver diseases, using nanoparticles synthesized from Moringa oleifera leaf extract. Focusing on green synthesis, the study produces zinc oxide (ZnO), selenium (Se), and ZnO-doped Se nanoparticles, minimizing the use of toxic chemicals to align with sustainable practices. The nanoparticles were characterized using various techniques: UV-Vis spectroscopy for optical properties, FT-IR spectroscopy for chemical bonds, XRD for crystal structure, and SEM for morphology. The study evaluates the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties of the nanoparticles, which are essential in combating oxidative stress and inflammation related to liver diseases. In vitro and in vivo experiments were conducted to assess the therapeutic effects of the nanoparticles. Biochemical and hematological analyses, along with histological studies of liver tissues, were performed to determine the safety and efficacy of the nanoparticles. Results showed that Moringa oleifera-derived nanoparticles exhibit significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, indicating their potential to reduce liver damage and promote healing. Despite the promising results, further research is necessary to understand the underlying mechanisms and optimize the dosage and administration for clinical applications. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on Moringa oleifera's therapeutic potential, paving the way for new, natural-based treatments for liver diseases.
