Abstract

Foreign trade has a significant role in the economy of countries and governments in the world. It contributes in increasing production, national income, consumption and distribution of the pattern of investment in the economy of any country. Due to the variety of the government’s forms in managing its trade relations, the world witnessed many international economic, political, commercial and environmental changes. At the same time, the emergence of large entities and economic clusters that affects the performance of the economic systems of different countries and that will in turn have an impact in trade exchange, which was subject to new standards, requirements and specifications overshadowed by environmental governance. Perhaps one of the most important variables and factors that are new and influential in foreign trade are environmental standards and requirements confirmed by the Uruguay Round Agreements and the World Trade Organization both are concerned as one of the major innovations governing exports to various markets in the world.
