Ramadan Drama And The Amplification Of Deviance In Algerian Society

Abstract

Abstract: The current study aimed at highlighting the manifestations of deviance amplification in the Ramadan television drama of 2024 through a critical analytical study of the series Al-Barani, which was broadcast on the private Algerian channel Echourouk. The researcher explored the main aspects of violence depicted in this series and its relationship to reality, as well as the elements of amplification—whether in deviant behavior itself, through the characters who engage in such behavior, or through the values that arise from these practices. Through critical analysis, we were able to address the research problem and answer the questions raised within the methodological framework, ultimately emphasizing the manifestations of deviance amplification by comparing the processes of production and reproduction.
