dc.description.abstract | Britain has a significant political, economic and cultural heritage not only among countries of European continent, but also among the nations of the world. Despite the fact that United Kingdom is historically marked by its adherence to conservative values and thoughts which are shown in different socio-political and economic manifestations, the ideological framework poses challenges in conceptualising conservatism due to its reactionary natures and the adaptability in response to the existing shifts in societal and political dispositions. The present study aims to scrutinise and investigate the nature of conservatism in its ideological niche, and to explore chronologically its perspectives and the implications of historical contexts in shaping and outlining its framework. A descriptive-analytical methodology is adopted in which this research gathers mostly secondary data through the examination of historical and political texts and writings. The findings reveal that while the history has been experiencing a lot of shifts, the conservative strands have been shaping and been shaped to thoroughly conceptualise the conservative thoughts accordingly. | |
