Abstract

Algeria experienced a new phase of political practice beginning in the wentieth century, which was known as the electoral campaign, to regain its international prestige and access to the French councils to be a platform for hearing the suffering of Algerians to the world, and after enacting reform laws for it after the First World War and the Second World War, it was given the right to Election of their deputies, such as the reform law of 1919 CE, in which it stipulated the election of Muslim members within the councils by a quarter of a seat, and the law of 1947 CE, which also stipulated representation in electoral councils according to a system of two bodies: first-class citizens representing Europeans, and second-class citizens representing Muslims These laws allowed the national parties to participate in the elections, which revealed the strength of the national movement, and its importance in spreading its program based on independence and the formation of the Algerian nation. Through the schemes of the colonial administration, where it knew all kinds of fraud and forgery, with the aim of serving its personal interests in preserving French Algeria
