dc.description.abstractAbstract: As a result of the rapid developments in the past few years in the fields of technology Computer، multimedia and the global network of information and the integration between them and led to their use in all fields. Among the most important of these areas، we find that the field of education، which benefited greatly from these modern technologies، by integrating them into the educational process، which resulted in many new patterns in education that are based on technological means. Many new forms have emerged، such as distance education، and other patterns that many universities have begun to implement. We find that our Algerian universities hastened to implement this type of education. This study came in order to identify the extent to which students are able to learn from what is provided by the university by knowing the pros and cons of applying this type of distance education، and this study has been based on the descriptive approach، which is considered the most appropriate for this type of studies، as We developed a data collection tool، which was represented in the questionnaire، and the sample was random، represented by the third year students of Sociology with a Bachelor's degree. The study came in four chapters that dealt with the various basic elements of the study، which came as follows: Chapter One: This chapter dealt with the methodological treatment of the study، as it presents in detail the various data، and in this context، the chapter identifies the problem of the study، the hypotheses of the study، the reasons for choosing the topic، the importance of the study and its objectives and previous studies related to the subject of our study. While the second chapter dealt with the theoretical aspect of distance education from the concepts and historical development of it، its stages، characteristics، objectives، importance، theories and obstacles. The third chapter، which was devoted to university education، was about the concepts، functions، objectives، challenges and obstacles of the university. Whereas، the fourth and final chapter was devoted to the field study by recalling its various procedures from the method، sample and limits of the study and presenting and analyzing the results، which were reached by analyzing the data obtained through the questionnaire. * We have transformed through the study to know the extent of the feasibility of distance education on the part of the university studenten_US
