The Rise of African Social Movements in the United States during the Trump's Administration

Abstract

على مدى التاريخ الأمريكي، كان الأمريكيون الأفارقة ضحايا للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري. لإنهاء الفصل العنصري والحصول على معاملة متساوية مثل البيض، إختار السود الحركات الإجتماعية كشكل سلمي للمقاومة. تم الإشارة إلى حركات مثل: "حركة الحقوق المدنية"، و"حركة القوة السوداء"، و"حركة حياة السود مهمة" على أنها الأبرز والأكثر فاعلية على مدار تاريخ هذه الأقلية. أما بالنسبة لعهدة ترامب، فقد لوحظ إرتفاع كبير في هذه الحركات، بشكل رئيسي تحت إطار حركة حياة السود مهمة، ولذا تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى فحص الحركات الإجتماعية التي ظهرت خلال إدارة ترامب. تم تنفيذ هذا العمل من أجل فهم أفضل للقوى الدافعة وراء إنبعاث إضطرابات الزنوج وسلسلة التظاهرات التي أثارتها. لهذا، يعتمد البحث النوعي المطروح بشكل أساسي على الأساليب التاريخية والوصفية. النتائج الرئيسية لهذه الدراسة كشفت أن: العنصرية ووحشية الشرطة تجاه الأمريكيين الأفارقة وكذا وعود ترامب التي لم يتم الوفاء بها، وقتل العديد من المواطنين الأمريكيين الأفارقة غير مسلحين على يد الشرطة بإعتبارها الجذور الرئيسية للإستياء الأمريكي خلال عهد ترامب. إلى جانب ذلك، كانت مظاهرة حركة حياة السود مهمة أبرز سلسلة عدالة عرقية منذ تأسيس الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. لذلك، فقد حظيت بردود فعل هائلة على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي. الكلمات المفتاحية: الأمريكيون الأفارقة، حياة السود مهمة، وحشية الشرطة، الحركات الإجتماعية، إدارة تراThroughout American history, African Americans have been victims of racism and racial discrimination. To end apartheid and receive equal treatment as whites, blacks chose social movements as a nonviolent form of resistance. Movements such as the Civil Rights Movement, the Black Power Movement, and the Black Lives Matter movement have been cited as the most prominent and effective throughout the history of this minority. As for the Trump administration, a significant rise in these movements was observed, mainly under the framework of the Black Lives Matter movement, and therefore the current study aims to examine the social movements that emerged during the Trump administration. This work was carried out in order to better understand the driving forces behind the resurgence of the Negro disturbances and the series of demonstrations they provoked. Therefore, the qualitative research presented is based mainly on historical and descriptive methods. The main findings of this study revealed that: racism and police brutality towards African Americans as well as Trump's unfulfilled promises, and the killing of many unarmed African American citizens by the police were the main roots of American resentment during the Trump era. Besides, the Black Lives Matter demonstration was the most significant racial justice chain since the founding of the United States of America.
