Abstract

Titled “Mechanisms of consistency in the production of the narrative text for second-year secondary learners”, this search paper addresses an important issue of textual linguistics, as it studies the mechanisms of coherence, by producing narrative text for secondyear secondary school learners of literature and philosophy. Consistency is considered as the interconnection of sentences with each other within the text through linguistic and semantic means, which have contributed to achieving textual coherence between its parts. These means are represented in the mechanisms of syntactic consistency and lexical coherence mechanisms, while educationalism can be a stand-alone science that studies the contents, techniques and methods of education. The competencies approach is a part of the educationalism in a modern pedagogy in education, which came to change the educational system and calls for the effectiveness and vitality of the learner. The narration is very important in educational process, because the narrative text is the transfer of the narration to a reality, in which certain events take place at a certain time, Mechanisms of coherence work to achieve consistency and coherence when producing a narrative text by linking its events, however, the secondary school learner still faces difficulties when producing a narrative text, especially when implementing consistency mechanisms.
