Abstract
The aim of the study is the chemical activity of the Fagonia cretica. L plant.
Which we relied on three extracts, acetone extract, ethanol extract and water
ethanol extract.
The antioxidant chemical activity of all extracts except acetone showed a
small percentage in capturing and inhibiting free radicals of DPPH root, where the
ascorbic acid mixture outperformed in the optical absorbance value, which was
estimated at 0,529, over all extracts, with a small difference for the ethanol-water
extract, where the absorbance reached 0,527 in the test lron FRAP.
As for the quantitative estimation of polyphenols, the highest value was
209,71mg/g for ethanolic extract, while for flavonoids, the highest value for
acetone extract was with 481,62mg/g at concentration 0,5mg/ml.
