    (university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Ahmed, M. O; Ogedengbe, K; Lawal, N. S
Analysis of trend in hydro-meteorological variables is extremely important for improving water resources planning and management. This study examines trend in monthly rainfall and temperature using the recently developed Innovative Trend Analysis Method (ITAM) and Mann-Kendall (M-K) with Sen’s slope test. Record of precipitation and temperature data was obtained from the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Ibadan, Nigeria for the period of 1973-2018. The precipitation trend during the period of 45years has been analyzed using the ITAM and M-K test. Most of the results obtained from these two methods for detecting trend are found to be matching. The result of this study shown that precipitation for the month of February, March, April, May, June, July, August and September indicated an increasing trend with the rate of 0.01, 0.01, 0.004, 0.025, 0.063, 0.028, 0.006 and 0.061 mm / year respectively. A significant increasing trend was shown in June and September at 1% and 10% significance level. The result of temperature obtained over the study area shown that almost all the months indicated increasing trend. The month of February, April, May and November shown an increasing trend at 10% significance levelThe comparison of the ITAM and M-K methods support the reliability of ITAM. In fact, ITAM detected some trend properties which could not be observed from the M-K test. Therefore, in climate change scenarios the ITAM can be effectively used and can provide useful information for precise management and planning of water resources.

MONITORING THE MATURITY OF AHMEUR BOUAMER AUTOCHTONOUS VARIETY AND DETERMINING OF THE OPTIMUM HARVEST DATE
(university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Ghouila, Z; Baaliouamer, A
Morphological ampelography characteristics, technological, phenolic and tannic maturities were studied over four seasons (from 2009 to 2012) of Ahmeur Bouamer autochtonous Algerian variety. During the four harvests, Ahmeur Bouamer's cluster has showed a high quality of morphological parameters (weight, size, number of seeds/ berries per cluster). The weight was proportional to the size of the cluster which was moderately compact, thus avoiding the deformation and the bursting of the berries. As For the maturity index (MI), Ahmeur Bouamer grape recorded values ranging from 31.07 to 54.95 for the four seasons; values which would make it possible to consider that the harvest would be of excellent quality (when 30

A DFT STUDY OF HYPER-RAYLEIGH SCATTERING (HRS) FIRST HYPERPOLARIZABILITY OF SUBSTITUTED POLYENE: PART (II)
(university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Labidi, N.S
Several DFT functionals have been carried out to study the first hyperpolarizabilities βHRS of push-pull polyene as a function the basis sets, of electron correlation, of the size, of the frequency dispersion and the geometry. These calculations confirm the huge effects of electron correlation, the Møller–Plesset (MP2) results reproduces the values of the first hyperpolarizability obtained with the reference CCSD(T) level. Among density functional theory exchange- correlation functionals, B3LYP, M062X, B3P86 and CAM-B3LYP are comparable to the MP2 for characterizing the dynamic first hyperpolarizability. The TDB3LYP/6-31+G* level show that, as increasing the the separation distance (dN···N /Å) and introducing a stronger donor the avereage BLA value decreases and the βHRS increase. In addition, a quantitative relationship was established between the first hyperpolarizability HRSand the separation distance (dN···N /Å) at MP2, B3LYP and M062X level of theory.

BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF PLATES USING AN EFFICIENT SINUSOIDAL SHEAR DEFORMATION THEORY
    (university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Khalfi1, Y; Sallai2, B; Bellebna, Y
Mechanical buckling response of isotropic and orthotropic plates using the two variable refined plate theory is presented in this paper. The theory takes account of transverse shear effects and parabolic distribution of the transverse shear strains through the thickness of the plate; hence it is unnecessary to use shear correction factors. Governing equations are derived from the principle of virtual displacements. The nonlinear strain-displacement of Von Karman relations are also taken into consideration. The closed-form solution of a simply supported rectangular plate subjected to in-plane loading has been obtained by using the Navier method. Numerical results are presented for the present efficient sinusoidal shear deformation theory, demonstrating its importance and accuracy in comparison to other theories.

GEOPHYSICAL ASSESSMENT OF GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATIONS FROM LEACHATE INTRUSION IN AMOYO DUMPSITE
(university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Olatunji, S; Fauzan, A. O
The work aims to map the extent of leachate intrusion in near-surface rocks around a reclaimed dumpsite (40 years old) in Amoyo town. Sixteen very low-frequency electromagnetic (VLF - EM) profiles were distributed in the four cardinal directions around the site. Twenty-nine (29) points were sounded, using Schlumberger approach, at all identified VLF anomalous points. The analyzed VLF-EM data revealed the presence of conductive pollutants (leachate plumes) at the subsurface. The geo-electric sections generated from the processed VES data supported the VLF-EM results. It is concluded that (i) leachate is still present in the rock formation of the reclaimed dumpsite several years after the abandonment and excavation of the waste materials (ii) the shallow aquifer is at risk of contamination (iii) the low resistivity of the basement rocks signified presence of leachates.

(university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Olatunji, S
Landsat 8 OLIdata, Aeromagnetic data, and Radial Vertical Electrical Sounding (RVES) survey data were integrated to map lithology, delineate structures and their trends, and delineate possible mineralized zones in the area. Landsat 8 OLI data yielded a colorcomposite image, and surface lineaments map of the area. The aeromagnetic maps were utilized to map lithology, and subsurface structures. A radial survey confirmed the fractures derived from the structural maps. Results classified the area into three geological units viz: migmatite, banded gneiss, and quartzite. The banded gneiss is the most deformed and contains series of structures that are significant for mineral and groundwater explorations. Clay alteration is the most dominant in the area, followed by iron oxide alterations. Lineament alignments are N-S, NNW-SSE, NNE-SSW, NE-SW,and E-W directions

(university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Hamma, A; Dairi, B; Bouhelal, S
Paper discusses the possibility of incorporation of date seed waste as fillers (DSF) into starch-g-PP matrices compared to kenaf fibers (KF with two lengths) based composites. Three starch-g-PP matrices (G906PF, G906PJ and G720PJ) were studied in parallel to a fully PP one. The investigated composites loaded to 20 wt.%, showed differences in performance related, principally, to loading type (DSF, KF) and matrix used. Results showed an improvement of tensile and impact stress at break as well as Shore D hardness of starch-g-PP composites reinforced with date seed fillers (DSF) or kenaf fibers (KF). Further, tensile, storage and loss moduli increased also with loading. Vicat softening point of either KF or DSF/starch-g-PP composites was greater with higher values for KF composites. However, thermal stability of starch-g-PP composites was better when DSF was used

(university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Chettouh, S

USING PCA AND ANN IN THE EXPLANATION OF GROUNDWATER CHEMISM. CASE OF THE MESSAAD PLATEAU. SOUTH ALGERIAN STEPPE REGION
(university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Rahmani, B. E; Baali, F; Fehdi, C
The objective of this work is to study the chemistry of groundwater in the messaad plateau which is located 300km south of the capital of Algiers. The results obtained showed that the waters are very strongly mineralized overall, with a predominance of calcium sulphate facies and calcium chloride facies. a high degree of mineralization in the South and South-East part of the study area near Oued Messaad. The Principal Component Analysis (PCA) has shown that the increase in mineralization is mainly due to the dissolution of evaporative mineral-rich salt-bearing formations. The hydro-chemical model based on Artificial Neuron Networks (ANN) of the multilayer perceptron (MLP) type has shown that the SO42-,Cl-,Ca2+,Na+ ions are the most important factors influencing the electrical conductivity of water. These ions are the result of the dissolution of gypsum and halite continuously in the clays and marls of the Barremian formations

    CHARACTERISTICSOFHYDRAULICJUMPONROUGHMINORBEDINARECTANGULARCOMPOUNDCHANNEL
    (university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Djamaa1, W; Lacheheb1, S; Ghomri, A
A hydraulic jump is a characteristic phenomenon in open channel flow, downstream of block ramps or rock chutes a hydraulic jump can occur over a rough bed with great energy dissipation. This paper analyses the hydraulic jump that occurs in homogeneous rough minor beds in rectangular compound channels. the parameters that influence the length of the jump were systematically investigated [24]. the analyses of the phenomenon were conducted using the general jump equation. the experimental data were elaborated in order to supply a new formulation of the general jump equation that accounts for the minor bed roughness. New formulas that satisfactorily agree with the experimental data are proposed. The results showed that rough beds can be used to dissipate the excess hydraulic jump energy instilling basins.

PIG BASED WATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT IN EL-HAI RIVER BASIN, EL-KANTARA PLAIN, ALGERIA
    (university of eloued -جامعة الوادي, 2022-01-01) Kerboub, D; Fehdi, C; El hmaidi, A; Azzi2, Y; Khemissi, C
Groundwater of the El-Kantara plain needs greater attention, because it is the alternative source of water for domestic and agricultural purposes. Water pollution affects both water quality and human health. Hence it is essential for continuous monitoring of the quality of groundwater so that pollution can be minimized. This study aims to evaluate the degree and extent of contamination of the Mio-Plio-Quaternary alluvial aquifer, in the El-Kantara area, Northern Biskra region (Algeria). A pollution index of groundwater (PIG) is proposed for quantification of water contamination at eleven (11) sampling different wells during four times at each well (dry period: September 2011/2014 and wet period February 2012/2015). PIG quantifies the status of concentrations of water quality measures with respect to their drinking water quality standards. The computed values of Pollution Index Groundwater (PIG) of El-Kantara aquifer in El-Hai River Basin vary from 0.746 (Insignificant pollution during wet period; February 2015) to 6.287(Very high pollution during dry period; September 2014). Spatial variation map has been prepared using GIS reveled that most of the study area accounts for very high pollution zones (61.36% of samples)
