Organic Fertilization Of Olive Tree Based On Soil Analysis And Foliar Diagnosis: A Case Study Of An Olive Orchard In The Northwest Of Tunisia
(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Ibrahimi, K.; Gaddas, F.
The present study aims at developing an organic fertilization program of an olive orchard located in the North-west of Tunisia. Soil analyses showed an acceptable level of P2O5 and K2O in the soil of the studied farm. Based on leaves and olive fruit analyses, the requirements in N, P and K nutrients of the olive tree for a yield of 20 tons per ha were evaluated at 171 kg N/ha, 40 kg P2O5/ha and 170 kg K2O/ha. As for the required nutrient additions to soil, they were evaluated at 133 kg N/ha, 76 kg P2O5/ha and 264 kg K2O/ha. In order to satisfy the needs of the olive tree, organic compost was used as soil amendement. The required compost amendments have been evaluated to 4 tons/ha at the age of 3/6 years, to 10 tons/ha at the age of 6/10 years and to 20 tons/ha at an age greater than 10 years.

Correlation Study Among Water Quality Parameters Of Groundwater Of Valsad District Of South Gujarat (india)
    (University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Shroff, P.; Vashi, R. T.; Champaneri, V. A.; Patel, K. K.
Groundwater samples were collected from five talukas of Valsad district for one year (from August 2008 to July 2009) and were analyzed for their physicochemical characteristics. The present investigation is focused on determination of parameters like pH, Colour, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Total Hardness (TH), Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Total Alkalinity (TA), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Silica, Chloride, Sulphate, Fluoride, Sodium, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and metals like Copper (Cu) and Manganese (Mn). Correlation coefficients were determined to identify the highly correlated parameters and interrelated water quality parameters. Correlation matrix of Valsad district suggests that EC of groundwater is found to be significantly correlated with eight out of seventeen water quality parameters studied. It may be suggested that the quality of Valsad district can be checked very effectively by controlling EC of water.

Impact Of Zootechnical Parameters On Cell Quality Of Cattle Milk (semi-arid Costal Tunisia)
(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Haj Mbarek, R.; M’sadak, Y.
The work was realized on a sample of 50 cattle herds, conducted in aboveground, in a coastal area of the semi-arid Tunisia, by using investigation related to cows and their breeding and milking conditions as well as despoliation in milk control data. Analysis of the data relating to the parameters of udder conformation and cow cleanliness revealed that “Udder depth” settings “Udder cleanliness” have been shown to affect the ICC and are considered factors risk of bovine mastitis. The study of breeding and milking conditions highlight some significant factors on changes on the variation of cell counts and the probability of the spread of mastitis, especially the "No disinfection of teat." The level of housing, the analysis revealed that the use of a litter reduced to half the average of ICC which proved highly related to the cleanliness of both the sleeping area as the udder.

Superalloys: An Introduction With Thermal Analysis
(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Raza, S. S.
Solidification studies of Alloy 718, Allvac 718plus and Waspaloy have been of great interest in the present study. Alloy 718 is a precipitation strengthened nickel-iron based alloy. Waspaloy, another precipitation strengthened nickel base superalloy, has a very good strength at temperatures up to ~750 °C whereas Allvac 718Plus is a newly developed nickel based precipitation strengthened superalloy which retains good mechanical properties at up to ~700 °C.These three alloys were investigated in terms of how their respective solidification process reveals upon cooling. Latent heat of solidification has been estimated for all three alloys.Differential thermal analyses (DTA) have been used to approach the task. It was seen that Waspaloy has the smallest solidification range whereas Allvac 718Plus has the largest solidification interval in comparison.

A Novel Technique For Improving The Efficiency Of A Photovoltaic Silicon Solar Cell Based On The Band-trap Impact Ionization Phenomenon
(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Zieba Falama, R.; Mibaile, J.; Djongyang, N.; Doka, S. Y.
In this paper, we consider a photovoltaic silicon solar cell in which the charge carriers are moved solitary. To evaluate the number of charge carriers in the solar cell, the proposed nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation describing the phenomena of carriers transport in solar cell under the effect of band-trap impact ionization has been solved. The results from this equation are solitary solutions. The maximum efficiency of the proposed model has been evaluated for various photo-generation coefficients. The range of the external applied electric field Eo to be avoided has been carried out. The interest of the obtained results is firstly economical since it could be useful in avoiding strong and undesirable external applied electric field on solar cells. The second interest is that they permit to identify the approximate maximum efficiency value of solar cell band-trap impact ionization.

    (University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Manjula, P. S.; Sarojini, B. K.; Darshan Raj, C. G.
This work represents the synthesis and characterization some new versatile intermediates namely 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole-5(4H)-thione derivatives in a one-step fusion method. The method works to be superior compared to the existing method by Reed and Handel which consists of four steps. The antibacterial activity of compounds is tested against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphilococcus aureus. The compounds exhibited species specific activity. Among the tested compounds, 1a and 1b exhibited good activity at moderately low concentration (31.25µg/mL) against tested strains of bacteria. DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl), FRAP (ferric reducing antioxidant power) and Lipid peroxidation assays are performed to determine the in vitro antioxidant activities. The compound 1e exhibited good antioxidant activity among the tested compounds.

Comparison Between Dna-based, Pomological And Chemical Markers Accomplished By Bioinformatic Tools To Distinguish Within Tunisian Olive Cultivars
(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Ben Ayed, R.; Ennouri, K.; Ben Hassen, H.; Triki, M. A.; Rebai, A.
The genetic diversity of 16 Tunisian olive cultivars (Olea europaea L.) of known origin sampled from different areas of the country was assessed using genetic markers (6 SSR and 5 SNP markers). Three dendrograms based on cultivar genotypes generated by SSR, SNP and both SSR and SNP markers revealed three clusters which were consistent with the varieties classification according to phenotypic characteristics, but not correlated with the geographic origin. Also, we compared the results obtained with the genetic markers to those obtained with agro-morphological and chemicals data using bioinformatic analyses. This work provides better understanding of the diversity available in Tunisia olive cultivars and supplies an important contribution for olive breeding and olive oil authenticity.

(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Kumar, A.; Kumar, M.; Verma Sanjay, K.; Alvi, P.a.; Jasrotia Dinesh, S.
Single crystal growth of tetrachloromercurate (II) [HM-1] and tetrachlorozincate (II) [HM-2] with 2-amino-5-chloropyridine has been performed by slow cooling (SC) crystal growth technique of solution growth method. The crystal structures of these hybrid materials have been studied by X-ray diffraction, experimental and computational techniques, which depict that N-Hδ+...Clδ-, Hg...Hgand Cl...Cl interactions are stabilizing the structures in 3D pattern. UV-vis absorption spectra illustrate the change in opticalband gap from 3.01eVto 3.42eV on replacing the metal halide group.Raman and Hyper-Raman tensors calculations were performed based on single crystal X-ray data and the Lagrangian strain tensor calculations show the degree of lattice distortion = 1.794 between [HM-1]and[HM-2].The photoluminescence emission spectra peaks lie in the visible range for both materials.

Unconstrained Melting And Solidification Inside Rectangular Enclosure
(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-09-01) Rabinataj Darzi, A. A.; Hassanzadeh Afrouzi, H.; Khaki, M.; Abbasi, M.
The present study concerns with the numerical study of unconstrained solidification and melting of phase change material (PCM) inside a two dimensional open rectangular cavity. The Cavity is filled by RT-27 as phase change material and air. Numerical study is carried out for different cavity aspect ratios. Result indicates that the conduction heat transfer is dominant at initial time of melting process where the layer of liquid PCM near hot surface is so thin. Solid PCM sinks to bottom of cavity due to higher density in respect to liquid PCM. Melting rate does not experience significant change by increasing cavity aspect ratio. The time of full solidification is much more than melting. It is due to the absence of natural convection with respect to melting process. By increasing the cavity aspect ratio, the solidification rates enhances significantly and its total time therefore reduces.
