The main objective of this work was to study the antimicrobial activity of the methanolic extract of the aerial parts of Anthemis stiparum pomel( belongs to the family compositae), by using the disk diffusion method ,at three bacterial strains namely: (E. coli ATCC 25922, S. aureus ATCC 25923, P. aeruginosa ATCC27853 ) and two antibiotics (Ampicilline AMP25 ,Amoxyclav AMC30) for comparison between the results of methanolic extract and antibiotics. We showed a hight activity of methanolic extract against bacterial strains positive gram(Staphylococcus aureus ATCC25923) in order to contain the phenolic compounds and alkaloids ,… etc. also we showed large inhibition zones by comparison with diameters of antibiotic zones (the average of diameters was 28 mm with S. aureus ATCC25923) but we did not show any zones of inhibition with E. coli ATCC25922 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC27853, and this explains the sensitivity of the bacteria positive gram against the methanolic extract, since it was found that has inhibitory effect for growth and reproduction. From these results we can use the methanolic extract of plant A. stiparum as a treatment for many microbial infections after studying the toxicity of this extrac
