This study aims to find out to what extent the tourism sector has contributed to the achievement of economic diversification in Algeria during the period (1999-2020), as an alternative sector to get out of oil dependence, using the Autoregressive Delayed Distributed Time Gaps (ARDL) model , where it was concluded that there is an inverse relationship between the tourism sector and the economic diversification in the long term and positive in the short term, as well as the relationship of the tourism sector with the economic diversification remains weak, but despite that, it remains relatively acceptable due to the lack of optimal exploitation of the opportunities that the Algerian economy abounds. We concluded that through the method of basic compound analysis (ACP).
