We address in this intervention to show the importance of academic integrity in university studies and
research, and to highlight the role of members of the university family and their common responsibilities in
developing this integrity following scientific theft and cases of plagiarism, which have become widespread in
recent years.
We presented the aspects of this integrity of fraud, cheating and scientific theft, and plagiarism, in an
attempt to obtain its various causes such as the methods and strategies of teaching and evaluation, the ignorance
of the aptitudes of research, difficulties of research subjects, competition, the temptations of the Internet and above
all the lack of moral scruples, hope to address these problems which threaten intellectual honesty and the
production of scientific knowledge in the community, then try to develop appropriate solutions Such as the need to
develop survey programs, tighten punishment for violators, and spread awareness and morals with a view to
improving and ensuring the quality of university research, which is a matter of civilization.
