Marginally higher level was observed in almost all parameters in summer season. No significant change observed in pH, Colour and Calcium.Item Synthesis And Evaluation Of β-cyclodextrin-epichlorohydrin Inclusion Complex As A Pharmaceutical Excipient(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) Poornima, K.n.; Deveswaran, R.; Bharath, S.; Basavaraj, B.v.; Madhavan, V.A water soluble Beta-cyclodextrin-epichlorohydrin complex (β-CDEPI) was synthesized by one-step condensation polymerization. Drug- β-CDEPI inclusion complexes were prepared and characterized. Inclusion complexes prepared using lyophilization technique was used to formulate orodispersible tablets. Compatibility studies showed no interaction and characterization proved substantial inclusion complex formation. Drug content was found between 97-99%. In-vitro disintegration time was found to be less than 3 minutes and all the formulations showed complete drug release of 100% within 15 minutes. The formulations were found to be stable for a period of 6 months. β-CDEPI polymer enhances the solubility and thus effectively can be utilized to improve the aqueous solubility of poorly water soluble drugs.Item Antimicrobialactivity Of The Essential Oil Ofmyrtuscommunis L Berries Growing Wild In Algeria(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) Touaibia, M.The development of microbial resistance to antibiotics is a global concern. The present study was carried out to determine the composition and the antimicrobial potential of the essential oil of Myrtuscommunis L. against 13 pathogenic strains responsible of many infections. The results show that levels of MIC observed range from 0.563 to 36 mg/ml.Item Prevalence And Antibiotic Resistance Of Staphylococci Isolated From Kolea Hospital (algeria)(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) Boukhatem, M. N.; Ferhat, M. A.; Hadj Mohamed, R.; Lalaoui, N.The resurgence of multiple antibiotic resistances is a major public health problem, often causing therapeutic impasses. Our study was conducted at the Bacteriology Laboratory of Kolea (Tipaza, Algeria) Hospital. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of staphylococci in clinical purulent, sepsis and urinary samples, and to test the sensitivity of the selected strains against a various antibiotic (ATB) discs. The identification of Staphylococcus strains was performed by using classic biochemistry tests. Susceptibility against ATB was determined by the agar disk diffusion method. Among 1403 clinical samples obtained, only 61 was related to staphylococci infections (4.34%). Staphylococcus strains were found mainly in the purulent samples (60.65%). S.aureus was found to be the mainly isolated strains with a rate of 61.53% while the S. epidermidis strain was found predominantly in hospitalized patients (68.57%). The frequency of the overall resistance of S.aureus against penicillin G (80.6%) and gentamicin (61.53%) remains high. The multi-resistant Staphylococcus has become extremely widespread, hence the need for the accomplishment of a strategy to prevent the spread of this resistance.Item Chemical Profiles Of Honeys Originating From Different Floral Sources And Geographic Locations Examined By A Combination Of Three Extraction And Analysis Techniques(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) Meloncelli D. M. . .; Windsor S. A. M.; Brooks P.The chemical profiles of Tasmanian Leatherwood and Manuka honeys from Tasmania and New Zealand have been compared by a combination of GC-MS analysis of volatiles and semi-volatiles, RP-HPLC-DAD analysis of phenolics and flavonoids and HPLC-DAD analysis of derivatised dihydroxyacetone, hydroxymethylfurfural and methylglyoxal. This study found that Tasmanian and New Zealand Manuka honeys have high concentrations of methylglyoxal. However, syringic acid was only detected in Manuka honeys grown in New Zealand. The Tasmanian honeys can be distinguished by the higher concentration of 3-phenyllactic acid in Manuka compared to Leatherwood floral sources.Item Inhibition Of Corrosion Of Zinc In (hno3 + Hcl) Acid Mixture By Aniline(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) Vashi, R.t.; Bhajiwala, M. H.; Rathod, K. N.Corrosion of Zinc metal in (HNO3 + HCl) binary acid mixture and inhibition efficiency of aniline has been studied by weight loss method and polarization technique. Corrosion rate increases with the concentration of acid mixture and the temperature. Inhibition efficiency (I.E.) of aniline increases with the concentration of inhibitor while decreases with the increase in concentration of acid. As temperature increases corrosion rate increases while percentage of I.E. decreases. A plot of log (θ/1-θ) versus log C results in a straight line suggest that the inhibitor cover both the anodic and cathodic regions through general adsorption following Longmuir isotherm. Galvenostatic polarization curves show polarization of both anodes as well as cathodes.Item Anticorrosion Potential Of Hydralazine For Corrosion Of Mild Steel In 1m Hydrochloric Acid Solution(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) Prasanna, B. M.; Praveen, B. M.; Hebbar, N.; Venkatesha, T.v.Anticorrosion potential of mild steel by Hydralazine as corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 1M hydrochloric acid was investigated by chemical and electrochemical measurements at 303-333 K temperature. The maximum inhibition efficiency of inhibitor by Weight loss method is around 90%, Tafel polarization method is around 85%; electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurement around 90% at 1250 ppm of Hydralazine in. The result shows that the inhibition efficiency increases with I 1M hydrochloric acid. Hydralazine acts as a mixed type inhibitor which inhibits the corrosion of mild steel due to the adsorption on metal surface. This adsorption system obeys the Langmuir adsorption isotherm.Activation parameters explains the effect of temperature with inhibition efficiency of inhibitor molecule.SEM images of inhibited mild steel strips shows a formation of passive protective film over the surface.Item Corrosion Inhibition Behavior Of Ketosulfone For Zinc In Acidic Medium(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) Hebbar, N.; Praveen, B. M.; Prasanna, B. M.; Venkatarangaiah Venkatesha, T.The corrosion inhibition behavior of Ketosulfone for zinc is investigated by polarization and AC-impedance techniques at 303-333K. The Tafel plots indicates that the Ketosulfone is a mixed type inhibitor. The interaction between metal and inhibitor is explained by Langmuir adsorption isotherm. G0ads and H0ads value indicates the electrostatic interactions between metal and inhibitor. Calculated activation parameters explains the corrosion process. SEM images show the difference between inhibited solutions and blank solution.Item Study Of Opportunities Of Use Of Composts Cunicoles For The Aboveground Production Of Tomato Plants In Tunisia(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) M’sadak, Y.; Bouallegue, A.The present work aims to study the potential valorization of composts exhausted cunicoles for aboveground vegetable plants. In a device complete random block with three repetitions, five composts in a pure state or in mixture and a witness are tested under tomato in seedbed except ground. They got results enable us to confirm that the composts are mature. As a whole, they have availability out of high water and a content of relatively weak air, whereas the substrates containing the peat-compost mixtures have physical properties close to the standards retained in Tunisia. The vegetative behavior of these plants with respect to the variation of the composition and the average size of the particles of the substrates shows a sensitivity of the seedlings to these parameters to the beginning of their growth. Majority of the mixtures containing peat-compost gave seedlings of quality, healthy, and homogeneous. The composts prepare well with a partial use in except ground.Item Characterization Of Co-products Of The Pilot Digesters To Animal Biomass In Tunisia(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2015-05-01) M’sadak, Y.; Ben M’barek, A.This work consists in evaluating the Co-products of the biomethanisation applied to the animal biomass on the level of various types of digesters (experimental I, II, III and IV, rural and industrial). This work made it possible to arise certain number of observations: The energy performances are more interesting in the case of the digesters powered with the avicolous droppings; the reduction of the polluting load as of SM is more important in the case of the industrial digester, whereas for the BDO5, it is in favor of the experimental digester II; The agronomic use of the secondary by-products proves very encouraging and powerful.
