Effect of cover thickness on the yield of a solar distiller under the El oued climate, Algeria
(University of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) Abderrahmane Khechekhouche; Mohammed El Hadi Attia; Ali Boukhari; Muthu Manokar; Zied Driss; Boubaker Benhaoua; Mokhtar Ghodbane
The wilaya of El Oued (southeastern Algeria) suffers from a huge lack of drinking water, unfortunately the groundwater is sometimes too salty for them considered drinking water. The most economical way to obtain drinking water is solar distillation using free, renewable and non-polluting energy. Improvement of the single-slope solar distiller is a problem addressed by several researchers around the world. This study also aims at this point by the variation of the thickness of the glass (the condenser). Experiments show that the production is better improved when the thickness of the glazing is low e = 3 mm with a total production of 2313.2 ml /m2.d; when e = 5 mm the production is 1876 ml / m2.d and at the end when e = 6 mm the production is 1236 ml / m2.d. From these results can be said that any increase in thickness will be followed by a decrease in the productivity of distilled water.

Effect of La doping on ZnO thin films by spray pyrolysis
(University of Eloued, 2019-02-25) Nassiba Allag; Leila Segueni; Chahnez Said; Boubaker Benhaoua; Djamel Barani; Brahim Gasmi
Zinc oxide (ZnO) undoped and Lanthanum doped (ZnO: La) thin films were deposited on 400°C heated glass using spray pyrolysis technique with moving nozzle . (Zn (CH3COO)2, 2H2O) and (LaCl3, 7H2O) were used as sources of ZnO and Lanthanum respectively. Effects of dopant on the optical, structural and opto-electrical properties of undoped and 2,4,6 wt. % Lanthanum doped ZnO thin films .Optical transmittance spectra of the films showed high transparency of about 98% in visible region. The optical gap,for ZnO and 0,2,4wt. % La doped ZnO thin films ,were found to be in 3.25-3.28 eV range . X-ray diffraction showed that the thin films have hexagonal wurtzite structure with a strong (002) as preferred orientation, whereas the crystalline size was ranged in 15.89-33.45 nm.. ZnO thin films are promising to be used a light emitting diodes ,gas sensor and UV detectors

Influence of Fe doping concentration on SnO2 thin layers
(Universty of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2019-02-24) t Leila Segueni; Nassiba Allag; Boubaker Benhaoua; Achour Rahal; Atmane Benhaoua; Brahim Gasmi
In this study, we report structural, morphological and optical properties of Fe-doped SnO2 thin layers. Fe doping concentration has evaluated from 0 to 0.6 wt.%. XRD and SEM results revealed polycrystalline structure for Fe-doped SnO2 thin layers. The optical transmittance of all thin layers displayed high transparency reach to 80% in visible region. The optical gap of these thin layers decreases from 3.87 to 3.58 eV. The crystalline sizes decrease from 35 to 30 nm. Electrical resistivity of thin layers increases from 1.2×10-2 to 6.8×10-2 Ω .cm.

Influence of parameters on performance of earth air heat exchanger in arid and hot climate
(university Of Eloued جامعة الوادي, 2020-02-23) Abdessamia Hadjadj; Abdelmalek Atia; Boubaker Benhaoua; Abderrahmane Khechekhouche
This paper presents a study influence parameter on the performance of an earth air heat exchanger (EAHE) in arid and hot climate. The effect of velocity, length and drop in temperature of the air is studied at the inlet and outlet of the pipe. The results show that maximum temperature drop available at low velocities because air gets larger time to get heat transfer in the underground pipe in soil and also the greater length of the pipe of earth air heat exchanger has more effect on performance of earth air heat exchanger. The temperature drops of air increases with decrease in air velocity, as in this study the temperature drop is 7.9 °C corresponding to 10 m/s velocities and 4.9 °C corresponding to 20 m/s velocities.
