    With growth of English naval, power in the modern era and in the expansion of. Its commercial empire, securing the narrative routes of the Mediterranean sea became inevitable for it, and this is what made it collide with the Algerian Naval force wish took upon its self the responsibility of naval jihad and securing its national interests by seizing ships contrary to its contrary to its principles, and capturing their passenger ,this prompted England to pursue to policy towards the regency of Algeria oscillating the diplomatic, solutions, and the policy of naval boats. مع تنامي القوّة البحريّة الإنجليزية في العصر الحديث، واتساع إمبراطورتيها التّجارية أصبح تأمين الطرق البحريّة للبحر الأبيض المتوسط أمرًا حتميًا بالنّسبة لها، وهذا ما جعلها تصطدم بالقوّة البحريّة الجزائريّة التي أخذت على عاتقها، مسؤوليّة الجهاد البحري، وتأمين مصالحها الوطنية، من خلال حجز السفن المخالفة لمبادئها، واسر ركابها، وكردّ فعل على ذلك انتهجت إنجلترا سياسة تجاه إيالة الجزائر تتأرجح بين الحلول الدبلوماسية، وسياسة الزوارق البحرية.
