Abstract

A very interesting part in the family doctrine is being discussed in this research which is the marriage part. Rather to say, they are the marriage introduction, which are the engagement rules. This research consists of engagement rules in Islamic doctrine and some contemporary issues which happen nowadays. This research tries to answer several issues mainly; looking through the new things in engagement nowadays, and what is the legitimate ruling, and what are the legitimate contraventions that may occur? In the conclusion of this research, we introduce some results such as; the sight is a right for both engaged man and woman, after the engagement both become strangers to each other, The man can make a contact with the engaged woman but only in need with the hold of the Islamic rules in dealing with stranger woman, and some other results are thoroughly mentioned in the lines of this research
