Abstract
In this paper, the coordinated Static VAR
Compensator SVC and Power System Stabilizers PSS devices using
for damping of oscillation in the multi-machine power system.
Particle Swarm Optimization PSO is used for searching optimized
parameters of proposed coordinated controllers. The objective
function in this study is based on the minimization of integral of
time speed deviation.
In PSO, individuals in a new generation are created by update
position and velocity of each particle. The effectiveness of this
algorithm and the proposed coordinated controllers are examined
for the multimachine power system, subjected to a disturbance. The
results proposed technique are compared with the same power
system without a controller, with the PSS controller, and with
coordinated controllers without PSO.
