In many cases, international jurisprudence has witnessed the use of general principles of law as one of the sources of international law, whether they relate to international arbitration tribunals or in the judgments and advisory opinions issued by the Permanent Court of International Justice and then the International Court of Justice. For example, the Permanent Court of Justice has applied the principle of respect for rights acquired in Poland's Upper Silesia, the principle that a person cannot be both a judge and a judge in the Mosul case, and the principle of non-abuse of the right in the free zone case. The International Court of Justice has also been subjected to the application of many principles, including the application of some principles derived from the principle of good faith, such as the principle of the inadmissibility of allegations contrary to previous conduct in several disputes submitted to it.en_US
