Abstract
Incubation is a notion that has drawn a lot of interest from scholars, practitioners, and policymakers in
the last three decades. Nonetheless, incubation research has generally concentrated on advanced economies and
has been theoretical and static. In this work, we first conduct a thorough literature assessment on incubators and
incubation programs in the MENA region, and we suggest three explanations for the lower effectiveness of these
programs compared to advanced economies. We present three main conclusions that restrict the incubators'
ability to perform to their fullest,Our research adds to the literature on incubation programs by providing context
for entrepreneurial ecosystems in the MENA area. We also offer policy recommendations for these nations in
terms of empowering the incubators
