Abstract

This research paper aims to match the theoretical criteria found in books and research to incubate emerging institutions at the level of incubators with the actual criteria that incubators take into account to accept emerging institutions or not, and to assess the availability of these criteria through which incubators accept emerging institutions to benefit from their services, using a descriptive and analytical approach, using a questionnaire distributed to the staff of incubators in Algeria with a study sample estimated at 118 individuals using SPSS statistical package program, version 25, to test hypotheses and extract results. The study came up with a number of findings, including: There is no significant relationship between incubation criteria and affiliation to incubators, except for the criterion “craft projects willing to develop” which had a weakly significant inverse relationship with affiliation to incubators. There are significant differences attributable to job level for the criterion of “achieving cohesion and integration”, as well as for the criterion of “compatibility between startups and the incubator).
