| dc.description.abstract | عُرف ابن خميس أكثر ما عُرف بالشعر والبلاغة وتولي الكتابة في دواوين الدولة الزيانية، كما عرف بأنّه مثل الدم يتحرك كل ربيع فلا يكاد يستقر في بلد إلا ويغادرها إلى غيرها فمن تلمسان إلى فاس إلى سبتة إلى المرية إلى غرناطة، هذا الترحال الذي كان سببه إما سياسيا أو رفض البعض لتوجهه الفكري إما حسدا وإما جهلا حسب قوله، هذا ورغم أنّ المدح والحنين قد أخذ حيّزا كبيرا من شعره إلا أنّ المنحى الصوفي يظهر في حياة ابن خميس واضحا في ألفاظه وعباراته رغم أنّ المصادر لا تكاد تذكر شيئا عن شيوخه ومن أخذ عنهم. Ibn Khamis was mostly known for his rhetoric and poetry, as well as his secretarial services at the Zianid state courts. He was also known for his unstability- moving constantly from one country to another ; from Tlemcen to Fes, Ceuta, Almeria, then to Granada. His constant moving was due to either political reasons or the opposition of some of his counterparts against his intellectual orientation owing to their envy or their ignorance as he himself put it. Though eulogy and yearning were the main subjects of Ibn Khamis’s poetry, his sufi orientation is quite clear through his expressions.
