Abstract

Defence Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) of the United States initiated a research activity that eventually developed a system for global data communication service known as the Internet. It operates as a joint effort of many organizations. In this unit, you will learn the basic concepts related to the Internet and the various mechanisms and technologies involved in Internet deployment. Upon completing this unit, the readers shall be aware of the basic terms and terminologies, involved devices and mechanisms, and the applications of the Internet. the importance of digital technology has been recognized in the entrepreneurship literature, we know little about how and to what extent it influences a nation's entrepreneurial activities.
