المسيحيّون والنصارى في الدرس الغربي المعاصر وفي الدراسات العربيّة.

Abstract

اتّصفت المسيحيّة الشرقية بمميّزات خاصّة تختلف عن سائر البلدان التي تدين بالمسيحيّة، وتوزّعت إلى طوائف متباينة، قائمة بذاتها، تستند كلّ منها إلى ميراث سحيق، تحمل في طيّاتها رواسب تاريخية تعود إلى ما قبل الفتح العربي الإسلامي. وتعد تسمية هذه الفئة من المعتنقين لدين المسيح من الإشكالات المفاهيمية التي اعترضت الباحثين في هذا المجال. يتناول هذه المقال دراسةً مفصّلةً حول الفرق بين تسميتي النصارى والمسيحيّين من خلال البحث في دلالة اللفظين في الدرس الغربي المعاصر وبعض الدراسات العربيّة. Abstract: Eastern Christianity has been characterized by special features that differ from other countries that profess Christianity, and it has been divided into distinct sects, each of which is based on a deep heritage and carries with its historical deposits that date back to before the Arab-Islamic conquest. The naming of this category of converts to the religion of Christ is one of the conceptual issues that has confronted researchers in this field. This article deals with a detailed study of the difference between the terms (al-Nassara) and (al-Massihiyyin) and examines their meanings within Western academic discourse and specific Arab studies. It may explore linguistic, cultural, and religious dimensions to understand how these terms shape the discourse surrounding Eastern Christianity.
