Abstract

This study attempts to shed light on various scientific activities by university professors under Corona pandemic, as well as the detection of the impact of exceptional conditions during the pandemic. Moreover, we try to determine the nature of sociological cognitive production during the pandemic. Through a questionnaire addressed to 48 members in the sample, the analysis of the data indicated the exceptional circumstances imposed by the Corona pandemic on the university professors which have revealed their weak role in the social pattern and how they were away from social reality. Despite the diversity of a professor's sociological knowledge production, it still does not reflect societal and scientific necessity, but merely the achievement of scientific or professional status.
