منشآت السيطرة على الماء في اليمن القديم (سدود اليمن أنموذجا)

Abstract

ملخص: منذ القدم عرفت اليمن تقدما هائلا في مجال الري الذي انعكس على الزراعة التي تعد احدى روافد اقتصاد ممالك المرتفعات والوديان باليمن خلال الألف الأولى قبل الميلاد وحتى الفترة الميلادية، إذ قامت مملكة سبأ بوادي أذنة، ومعين بوادي الجوف، وقتبان بوادي بيحان وحضر موت بوادي حضر موت، وأوسان بوادي مرخة، حيث أقامت هذه الممالك العشرات من السدود حتى اشتهرت اليمن ببلد السدود، التي تميزت بضخامة شكلها وتخطيطها الهندسي وتقنية بناؤها الذي أدهش العالم القديم والحديث، وكذا نظام ريها الذي ضل لعدة قرون يسقي اراضي شاسعة كانت سببا في ازدهار تلك الحضارات. Abstract: Since ancient times, Yemen has witnessed tremendous progress in the field of irrigation, which has been reflected in agriculture as one of the main economic sources of the highlands and valleys’ Kingdome in Yemen. The Kingdom of Sheba was established in Wadi Adhana, Ma’in in Wadi Al-Jawf, Qataban in Wadi Bihan, Hadramawt in Wadi Hadramawt, and Osan in Wadi Markha. These kingdoms built dozens of dams until Yemen became famous for the country of dams. The dams were characterized by the enormity of its shape, engineering planning, construction technique, and the irrigation system, which has been irrigating the vast lands for centuries and was the reason for the prosperity of those civilizations.
