جنوب المتوسط في مدركات الأمن الأوروبي منذ أحداث 11 سبتمبر 2001

Abstract

إن االهتمام األوروبي بمنطقة جنوب املتوسط منذ أحداث 11 سبتمبر2001 ،جاء ليعكس األهمية االستراتيجية لهذه املنطقة في تحقيق مصالح أوروبا وحماية أمنها، لهذا سعى االتحاد األوروبي من أجل تطوير عالقاته مع جيرانه من جنوب املتوسط في ظل تزايد املخاوّف األمنية التي باتت تهدد منطقة املتوسط ككل، وبالتالي تحديد مجاله الجيوسياس ي وتأكيد حضوره الدولي في رسم مستقبل هذه املنطقة من خالل العديد من املبادرات. إال أنه في ظل تزايد التهديدات األمنية في منطقة املتوسط، فإن االتحاد األوروبي بحاجة إلى إعادة بناء سياسته املتوسطية مع األخذ في االعتبار مصالح الشركاء في جنوب املتوسط بشأن القضايا املشتركةThe European interest in the southern Mediterranean region since the events of September 11, 2001 reflects the strategic importance of this region in the interests of Europe and protecting its security. The European Union has therefore sought to develop its relations with its southern Mediterranean neighbors in the light of the growing security concerns that are threatening the Mediterranean region as a whole, thus defining its geopolitical area and confirming its international presence in shaping the future of the region through numerous initiatives. However, given the increasing security threats in the Mediterranean region, the European Union needs to rebuild its Mediterranean policy, taking into account the interests of southern Mediterranean partners on common issues
