Abstract During each year, the Inventory Officer needs to keep track of the inventory items in the register. Given the large amount of equipment, as well as the traditional method of managing equipment and related operations, a great effort should be made while being exposed to many problems and difficulties that negatively affect the good processing of all the operations that are involved in the inventory management. In order to address some of these problems, we, in this project, have proposed the development of a desktop application that helps in the process of inventory management by relying on modern technologies. Using mobile application based on barcode reading technology, the proposed desktop application facilitates the inventorymanagement process, as it also provides other functions and information, such as adding and deleting equipment, knowing the date of entry, the place of assignment and inventorying each materiel and equipment.
