Abstract

Abstract: North Africa has contributed intellectually and philosophically like other nations, with its distinct stages throughout history revealing its significance in the realms of creativity and intellectual production. It had its thinkers who engaged with the issues and concerns of their time, leaving their unique and remarkable contributions in this field. Notably, the period from the 5th century BCE to the 6th century CE can be labeled as the "Age of Enlightenment", marked by a distinguished cultural dynamism that rivaled its counterparts in that era. This study sheds light on the philosopher Martianus and his era, as well as his achievements that extended beyond Africa to neighboring nations. ملخص: عرف الشمال الإفريقي إنتاجا فكريا وفلسفيا كغيره من الأمم، طبع مختلف مراحله التاريخية وكشف عن مكانته في مجال الإبداع والإنتاج الفكري، فكان له مفكروه الذين انشغلوا بقضايا وهموم عصرهم وكانت لهم إضافتهم الخاصة والمتميزة في هذا المجال. ولا نستثني من ذلك الحقبة الممتدة من القرن الخامس قبل الميلاد إلى القرن السادس الميلادي وهو جدير بأن يسمى عصر التنوير، لما عُرف فيه من حركية ثقافية متميزة تكاد تضاهي مثيلاتها في ذلك العصر. فجاء هذا العمل ليسلط الضوء على الفيلسوف مارسيانوس وعصره وكذا إنجازاته وقد جاوز فكره إفريقيا إلى الأمم المجاورة.
