Abstract

Polymers are known for their electrically and thermally insulating character. However, modifying the matrix can give very interesting results in terms of insulation and therefore application. The addition of a plant fiber from the date palm to the polymer matrix results in a composite material of great importance. Our goal is to develop such a composite and study its insulation capacity by determining its thermal conductivity as a function of a few parameters, namely the thickness and the matrix / fiber ratio.
