This paper discusses and compares several control strategies for the Z-source inverter, contrary to the traditional inverters the impedance network in the ZSI provides one extra switching state called shoot-through state which ensures the unique buck-boost voltage feature. This study aims to analyze and compare four control methods namely, SBC simple boost control, MBC maximum boost control, MCBC maximum constant boost control and maximum constant boost control with third harmonic injection.
