This study aims to highlight the relationship between some indicators of the renewable energy sector represented in the production of hydroelectric, solar and wind energy, with the economic growth that was expressed in the values of gross domestic product during the period (2000-2018). After estimating the model by the ARDL method, we reached the positive impact of the production of hydroelectric and solar energy on the gross domestic product in the long term. We also noticed that the production of wind energy is not significant, and this is due to the low rate of production, which did not reach the expected results due to the recent production that Algeria has begun to use recently, in addition to .the limited Algerian capacity to produce this type of energy Despite the positive results in some indicators and the achievement of quantitative results, Algeria still suffers from a deficit in the renewable energy sector, and this is due to the great negligence and lack of seriousness of officials and society in promoting this sector
